Action Movie Action Jackson
As of my last training cut-off in September 2021, "Action Jackson" is a 2014 Bollywood action movie directed by Prabhu Deva and starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam, and Manasvi Mamgai. It is not one of the critically acclaimed movies but has its dose of action-packed sequences, songs, and dramatic elements that are characteristic of commercial Bollywood movies.
Brief Story: The movie revolves around two characters, both played by Ajay Devgn – Vishi, a small-time crook, and AJ (Jai), a professional assassin. Due to their uncanny resemblance, their worlds collide in unexpected ways.
Vishi leads a carefree life and is known for taking up fights for justice. His life takes a turn when he meets Khushi (Sonakshi Sinha) and falls in love with her. However, as fate would have it, Vishi gets mistaken for AJ because of their similar appearances.
AJ, on the other hand, has a more complex background. He's in conflict with a notorious underworld don named Xavier (Anandaraj) and his henchwoman Marina (Manasvi Mamgai). Marina is obsessed with AJ and goes to great lengths to get him, which leads to a series of dramatic events.
As the story unfolds, both AJ and Vishi find themselves in situations where they have to impersonate each other. The dual identity creates comedic as well as action-packed moments.
While the movie is replete with high-octane action sequences, it also has its share of melodrama, romance, and typical Bollywood song-and-dance routines.
The movie faced criticism for its weak plot and over-the-top sequences, but if you're in for a no-brainer entertainer with stunts and catchy songs, "Action Jackson" fits the bill.
