"Dabangg" is a 2010 Bollywood action comedy film directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan. It stars Salman Khan in the lead role, with Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, and Sonu Sood in supporting roles.

The film follows the story of a fearless, corrupt police officer named Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan), who has a troubled relationship with his stepfather and half-brother. Chulbul is brave, audacious, and unapologetically corrupt, but he has his own ethics. He does not shy away from taking bribes but is also extremely protective of his family and loved ones.

Chulbul lives with his mother Naini, stepfather Prajapati, and half-brother Makkhi. The death of his mother during his childhood has resulted in Chulbul treating his father and brother as outsiders, and he prefers the company of his friends. Despite being the elder son, he does not receive the same love and affection from his father, which Makkhi does.

Chulbul falls in love with a girl named Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha), and they eventually get married. Meanwhile, a corrupt political leader, Chhedi Singh (Sonu Sood), forms an alliance with Chulbul's brother Makkhi, exploiting his resentment towards Chulbul.

Chhedi Singh manipulates Makkhi into killing their own mother and convinces him that Chulbul was the actual killer. The family conflict and Chulbul's fight against Chhedi Singh forms the central plot of the film.

In the climax, Makkhi realizes his mistake and unites with Chulbul to fight against Chhedi Singh. The movie ends with Chulbul and Makkhi defeating Chhedi Singh and avenging their mother's death.

"Dabangg" is known for its thrilling action, comedic moments, and memorable dialogues. The film was a commercial success and marked the beginning of the "Dabangg" franchise, followed by its sequels, "Dabangg 2" and "Dabangg 3".
