Action movies Sultan

"Sultan" is a 2016 Indian sports-drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. Here's a brief summary of its plot:

Sultan Ali Khan (Salman Khan) is a middle-aged ex-wrestling champion who lives in a small town in Haryana, India. He falls in love with Aarfa (Anushka Sharma), a state-level wrestler and is completely smitten by her.

The story moves between the present and flashbacks. In the past, Sultan wins over Aarfa with his charming, comical approach and they both dream big for their wrestling careers. They get married, and Aarfa learns she's pregnant. However, Sultan gets an offer to represent India at the Olympics. He leaves for the competition and wins a gold medal, but his happiness is short-lived as he receives news of his newborn son's death due to severe anemia, a situation which could have been avoided had he been there to donate his blood.

This tragedy creates a rift between Sultan and Aarfa. Blaming himself for the loss of their child and his arrogance after winning the gold medal, Sultan goes into depression and gives up wrestling.

The story then shifts to the present, where a business magnate tries to save his Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) league by signing Sultan. Sultan sees this as an opportunity to win back his self-respect and Aarfa's love. The catch is, Sultan is out of shape and has never fought in an MMA bout. The rest of the film depicts his rigorous training, his struggles, and his eventual rise in the MMA world.

The film emphasizes themes of love, redemption, perseverance, and the age-old adage of never giving up no matter how tough the circumstances. Through Sultan's journey, the audience is shown the importance of humility, dedication, and personal growth.
