"Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" is a 2014 Bollywood action thriller film directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Vipul Shah. The movie stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. It is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film "Thuppakki" directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Vijay.

Brief Story:

Virat Bakshi (played by Akshay Kumar) is an officer in the Indian Army’s DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) who is on holiday in Mumbai and returns home to be with his family. Despite being on vacation, Virat's soldier instincts are always active.

During his stay in Mumbai, a series of explosions rock the city. With the help of his fellow Army officers, Virat manages to prevent another blast from occurring in a bus. He captures the man responsible, who turns out to be a sleeper cell agent.

Through interrogation and investigation, Virat discovers a larger plan of a group of terrorists who are planning to activate multiple sleeper cells in the city to execute bomb blasts throughout Mumbai. The aim is to destabilize the region.

Virat makes it his mission to track down the mastermind behind these sleeper cells. His journey pits him against a clever and ruthless terrorist leader. With the help of his friends in the Army and his own intelligence and combat skills, Virat works to thwart the terrorist plot and protect the city.

While dealing with the terrorist threat, there is also a romantic subplot involving Virat and Saiba (played by Sonakshi Sinha).

The movie emphasizes the sacrifices and challenges faced by soldiers, both on and off duty. It portrays how a soldier’s commitment to his/her nation is unwavering, regardless of whether they are on the battlefield or on a break.

The film mixes action, romance, and patriotic fervor, leading to a climax that showcases both strategy and combat prowess.
